The Fields

We have visited Mansfield many times, but never had the pleasure of dining at The Fields until Easter Saturday. Now that we have dined there, we will certainly be returning again - it has fast become our favourite. The flavours of each dish, as well as the presentation, were fabulous! I can honestly say the prawn dumplings were the best I have ever had - they were crispy and crunchy on the outside, yet juicy on the inside. We thoroughly enjoyed the lamb ribs, special salad and calamari dish too. I had a great cocktail and glass of French wine. The drinks menu gave us plenty of choices. The service was wonderful too; our waitress was very bubbly, friendly and entertaining. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Adorable venue. Delicious food. Nice and warm inside. Cocktails were awesome. Highly recommend for a fine dining experience in Mansfield.

Dining at The Fields is a wonderful experience. From walking into the restaurant, you are greeted with smiling faces, the wood heater warming up the room, and great lighting. The menu is designed for sharing, each dish serving 2 people. The cuisine is Pan Asian. The four of us shared the salmon tartare, pork (melt in your mouth), salt & pepper squid (like you've never had before), beef curry (beef falling off your fork) rice, and roti. I only gave 4 stars because the music in the room was, in my opinion, too loud, and the room got very loud with diners trying to talk over the sound. As the evening got on, I did ask the waitress to turn down the music. She did oblige but turned it down marginally. As for the cuisine, service, and ambience, I rate this 5 stars.

The food was just amazing and the new Spring large version of the set menu overwhelmed us with deliciousness! Each dish made you stop and appreciate what great food can be. Staff were attentive and friendly. So glad we stopped in for dinner.

We enjoyed a beautiful dinner a few weeks ago on a Wednesday night with some friends. Nothing was too much trouble, including pre arranging dessert with a special happy birthday message! We shared some delicious food, I honestly couldn’t fault any of our choices, everyone was so quiet when we were eating!!! Definitely try the cocktails they were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend for any size group, beautiful execution from service through to decor. Thank you for giving us such an awesome option, how lucky we are to have you in our little town!

An exceptional dinner! The Fields was recommended to us but a local, and we were not disappointed. After a long, physical day we enjoyed an incredible meal. The fried chicken was like nothing I had tasted before! Absolutely beautiful. Staff were also extremely helpful when it came to dietary requirements.

Fantastic beautiful food, flavours were 5star, staff were exellent and gr8 choice of cocktails, beers, spirits and wines. Highly recommend.
